about
“Nothing is darker than my fear. I hope that the days of pain will disappear!?” is the question and chorus in the song “Winter Grief”. This question occupied me for a very long time in the winter months from 2018 to 2019. At that time I was confronted with grief for the first time, which came to me from a very personal stroke of fate. Constantly accompanied by despair, anger and sadness, searching for the question of the meaning of life. Ultimately, I found much comfort and relief in nature and its beauty. Long hikes in nature and listening to music helped me to redirect these heavy, dark thoughts into an art and to hermetically seal them from me there. The final impetus to compose this song came from the synergy of the music of the brilliant death-doom bands “WINTER” from 1990 and “GRIEF” from 1994. It makes sense to call the song “Winter Grief”, right?
lyrics
worship the forest and misty mountains fright,
where reigns the light.
worship the abysmal waters of the lake,
where blind creatures swirl for sace.
nothing is darker than my fear,
hope that these days of PAIN will disappear!
nothing is darker than my fear,
hope that these days of PAIN will disappear!
worship the dungeons, deep the ground,
creators of evil sound.
worship the sky when clouds hide, the moon,
In a starless night.
nothing is darker than my fear,
hope that these days of PAIN will disappear!
nothing is darker than my fear,
hope that these days of PAIN will disappear!
worship the cold astral space,
lifeless abyss beyond the grace.
worship the sky when clouds hide, the moon,
In a starless night.
nothing is darker than my fear,
hope that these days of PAIN will disappear!
nothing is darker than my fear,
hope that these days of PAIN will disappear!
Pain from trauma and the abyss of humanity forms the framework for the minimalist sound of only one guitar, drums and vocals that manages to create its own sound that combines suffering and heaviness with groove and dissonance.
Nasty occult stoner doom. Those fuzzy riffs are awesome and the psychedelic vocals are insane. Put your headphones on, grab a bottle of beer and listen to this while you sacrifice your enemies. Sælzer Bub
This is pretty music with pretty vocals. The guitars are pretty too. I like it. The album art fascinates me. I enjoyed my first listening of the entire album. I must come back for more. This could potentially become a favorite of mine. I listen to a lot of music. They are really good sounding. They could be touring the world! Michael
A foreboding black-doom metal dirge, meditating on a dark world caked in ash, resulting from all the Earth’s nuclear arsenal detonating at once. Bandcamp Album of the Day Jun 14, 2018
